Colors & Bottles! A new art class event planner in KANSAS CITY is hiring.
http://www.colorsandbottles.com

We are looking to hire MANY artists in the KANSAS CITY area as PT art at $17 an hour as instructor’s for our events. We are looking for professional and/or high skilled artists who are friendly, fun and reliable to become part of our team. This is Part Time work! As we get rollin’ booking more events in KC this could turn to artists having 5+ events per week.

TO APPLY: Please send your resume/CV and 4 to 5 images to employ@colorsandbottles.com

THE POSITION/ HOW IT WORKS:
As one of our Artists you will be added to our contact list to teach 3 hour painting classes. For events the Artists teach the class how to paint one of their completed paintings on 16″x20″ canvas with acrylic paints. You will be requested in advance of an event to see if you would like to accept the event as the Artist. You will then email Colors and Bottles the painting you would like to teach and we will upload onto our website.

SCHEDULING ARTISTS FOR EVENTS
If you are selected to teach an event you will be contacted by e-mail. You will be contacted at least 3 days or more in advance of the event.
a. You will then be provided an Artist Event Contract which will disclose event location, date, time, details, participant’s expected, host contact information and any other pertinent details.
b. The Artist Event Contract will be PDF form that you will digitally sign as your confirmation for teaching the particular event. You must respond by submitting the Artist Event Contract via e-mail to colorsandbottles@gmail.com within 24 hours of the request.
c. Your response e-mail must also include two image files of paintings that you would like to teach at the event. Make sure you select a painting that you are able to teach in the 3-hour time period, allowing students to finish. Students will be given 16″x20″ blank canvas, brushes and six colors of acrylic paint (red, yellow, blue, green, black, white). Also, the events are structured to be fun, beginner and easy. Please adjust your teaching to appropriate beginner skills and please select a painting that is not complex or for advanced skills.
d. Once your contract is received by Colors and Bottles you will receive a response via e-mail confirming you as the Artist for the event along with the painting image Colors and Bottles selected for the event.
e. If no response is received then we will move forward and ask another artist. We will also have an on-call Artist in case something arises. Just to note, if a scheduled Artist no-call/no-shows their contract as one of our Artist Members will be terminated.

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES FOR EVENTS
Artists are expected to arrive at event location at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled event. Artists are responsible for physically bringing their completed painting on a canvas that Colors and Bottles selected during confirmation. Once the Artist arrives they will be given a blank canvas where they will step-by-step demonstrate how to paint their painting. Artists are expected to walk the class through the “how to” of the painting step by step. Artists are encouraged to walk around the room and help students, offer tips on how to paint and more. Be very, very basic or just adjust to your audience! Also remember these are BYOB painting parties so they are supposed to be an artistic type of fun! Please do not be a strict, rigid, authoritarian Artist for us because you are part of our image of fun painting.
